Flower Power

Discovery leads to amazing things.
Earlier today I walked into my sisters bedroom looking to use some of her hairspray,
but I ended up getting way more than I bargained for.
Sitting right next to her tub of hair products was her container of hair accessories in which she keeps things like bobby pins, headbands, elastics, clips, and what have you. And inside that lovely little container I found THIS...

 The cutest black flower hairband!
Knowing the fact that it had been sitting at the very bottom of the bin,
I don't think my sister had touched it in a long time.
It may have been neglected but I thought it had some life still left in it.

And with that I quickly curled my hair with a curling iron
(I'm not sure why but I always think that curls and headbands are like made for each other)
and wore that headband like it was a friggin' diamond ring.
It looks adorable don't cha think??

Here are some more pics and close-ups
This was also an opportunity for me to do a bit of cam-whoring.

The flower piece is constructed almost like an orchid and made of some lace fabric,
all of it attached onto a garter hairband.
I haven't a clue where my sister purchased it from,
but I'll have to ask so I can spend have some for my own collection :)

Some people say high maintenance like it's a bad thing,
but let's take a moment and look at the results!

Hair For Tiffany

I've hand-picked some different looks that I felt are suitable for your outfit, evening, and season. Although there's a bunch of pictures, many of them follow the same techniques but, even the slightest change like texture or part makes a world of difference. Different portraits also just go to show the different angles in which it can look. I understand that my lovely friend Tiffany would like to keep her hair down for the night of her birthday bash, which is fantastic seeing as it suits the shape of her face and really shows off her long locks.
The theme of the evening will be cocktail mixed with a bit of James Bond. So we're talking suits, dresses, high heels, and martini's! When it comes to James Bond, I think sophisticated, elegant, effortless, simple yet refined. Bond girls remain to be seen as sexy, smart and sultry, and it certainly shows with their hair! Thus we're talking polished curls, luscious volume, and "damn girl, can I get you numba?!" kinda thing... You get what I mean ;)

Pinned back or Pinned Up
These hairstyles are fun, youthful, but still put together.
The curls add class while the volume gives structure and shape.
This look I had already done on you Tiff, this one however has the bangs twisted away from the face and the curls are tighter and less loose.

This hairstyle rather doesn't actually have "curls" as it may appear,
what I would do is place all of your hair in velcro rollers to achieve that volume and twisted ends.
Then I'd strategically pin back the top sections.

This hairstyle on the other hand DOES have curls, I'd simply curl all of your hair, tease the crown to get that slight "poof" and pin the top and side sections.
Quite simply the ever class - "half up half down"

Gimme summa that umph!
This look SCREAMS Bond Girl!
Sexy and sultry waves frame the face, and the soft curls and flipped ends give sophistication

Having all the curls and waves brushed and blended together easily make this look,
and having the hair to the side make it edgy but timeless.

Essentially this look is the same as the one before.
Only difference? Parting it in the middle ;D

Ah! Summer beach waves are a must this season and they look amazing in any occassion.
What makes this look distinct is of course parting the hair in the middle, and adding a bit of texture to the end of the curls.

  Classic Curls.
You can never wrong with a look as simple as this one.

I might not be someone's first choice, but I am a great choice.
I don't pretend to be someone I'm not, because I'm good at being me.
I might not be proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today.
I may not be perfect, but I don't need to be.
I am the way God made me.
Take me as I am or watch me as I walk away.
