Adventure is harder for some, rocky for others and seemingly impossible for a few, but yet never out of reach for anyone. This is the challenge I love.

HAIR

Youtube and beauty bloggers are my primary resources for ideas on hair, makeup, beauty, fashion etc etc...
It's been nearly a year since I last had my haircut, a far cry from my normal upkeep of every 3 months!
My usual hairstyle was an inverted bob - longer in the front than the back. Time has now run its course and my hair is now just barely touching my collarbone, the longest I've had in years.

Rather than spending the money on getting a haircut, which can be expensive especially if you get daily trims, I thought I would take a risk and let my hair grow out on its own. My hair relatively thick and its easy to manage with the right products and daily washing and conditioning. However at the length that it is now, I don't really like but I don't hate it either. But watching youtube videos, reading blogs, looking at pictures I've generated a tonne of ideas of how to style it!

Some general tools EVERY girl should have to achieve any of the looks below:
Bobby pins
Hairspray
Curling iron
Practice

 Messy Half-Up

Twisted Half-Up

 Twisted Bangs
This is how I wear my hair most often, and my favorite way as well. I find when my hair is curled, naturally it just does itself.
Twisted Bangs II
This one really is no different from the first. Only I used a curling wand rather than an iron to see if it would make a difference. It still achieves the same look for me ;)

Loosely pinned up
This one looks elaborate but it's really not! As I mentioned when my hair is curled it does itself. I basically took random pieces and pinned it up, leaving some pieces to hang :)
Flipped Out
There's 2 ways to achieve this look. Either with a large barrel curling iron (ideally 1 or 1.5 inch), OR with the use of velcro rollers.

Pink and Grey

Man oh man Her Royal Highness sure knows how to start an enviable trend! After seeing Kate Middleton show off those lovely nude pumps of hers, and reaffirming just how versatile they are I ended up buying myself a very similar pair. My starving college student budget doesn't allow room for an LK Bennett price tag, yet that sure didn't stop me from scoring a deal at Ardene's.

$20 well spent!! I purchased these about 4 months ago and they're certainly worth the 20 dollar price tag. They go with everything! And surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in too. The pinky nude color is flattering on almost any skin tone. Now that it's nearing spring, I have all the more reason to wear these shoes.

Another lovely fashion investment I made recently was this grey taupe dress from H&M...

Found it in clearance for $15. Unfortunately being it was on final sale, they didn't have any of my sizes left (which is 0 or 4), so I settled for a size 6. The waist and length fit me nicely, but the bust hem is waaaay too big and loose! It wears more like a plunging neckline on me, so I wouldn't dare wear it without something modest underneath haha. But it's such a cute little dress and it goes great with nearly everything in my wardrobe. Not sure if you can tell but the front has almost this petal-like opening in the front, which I love!

The Jesus I have come to know is more forgiving than anything I could imagine,
and more terrifying than any nightmare.
